That last post spot accidentally got chopped in half! I was part way through giving a description. continued.... Little Hills Pre-School - this is an on-site crèche, which caters for 72 community children, aged 3-6, which includes a school readiness programme. This was extremely busy and I am fortunate that I am used to looking after small children. There are minimal supplies and teaching equipment so I had to be fairly inventive with teaching and over-exuberant child control methods. Village Training Centre - there is a computer lab and classrooms for a wide variety of professional and life skills training. Hunger alleviation programme – this includes packing and providing and delivering food parcels to families in crisis, daily feeding at the nearby HIV clinic and the local high school, as well as cultivating a community garden. In the countryside north of Hillcrest...   The Children’s Village was set up in 2002 in the Valley of a Thousand Hills, 1 hour north of Durban, South Africa. Currently they house 50 vulnerable children, ranging from 18 months to 18 years of age – all of whom who have lost one or both of their parents to the HIV/AIDS pandemic.
